NY Public Library: The Jean Blackwell Hutson Photographs
This collection provides insight into the thirty-plus-year career of Jean Blackwell Hutson, a librarian and curator of the Schomburg Collection, and the Chief of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture from 1948 to 1980. The collection includes images from family and professional life, such as her early years with her parents, her wedding album, her high school or college years album, a scrapbook, newspaper articles, telegrams, and personal notes. The collection also includes photographs taken by Hutson during her travels.
